Lasix.

Lasix (furosemide) is an efficient medication used to treat fluid retention and high blood pressure in patients to whom it as prescribed. Make sure you show up for all the appointments with your health care provider as your blood and your liver function may need to be tested to make sure you are benefitting from the treatment. Tell your health care provider if you have gout, diabetes, lupus, kidney or liver disease, or an allergy to sulfa drugs, as those conditions may be important in determining your dose. Your health care provider needs to be notified if you get severe rash, sore throat, unusual bleeding, ringing in the ears, difficulty breathing or swallowing, loss of hearing, fever, or any other side effects that seem serious. Less serious side effects that are common at the beginning of the treatment include but are not limited to: headache, tingly feeling, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, numbness, burning, dizziness, and blurred vision. The mild side effects, unlike the serious side effects mentioned, do not need to be reported to your health care provider right away – they tend to go away on their own and do not cause the patients too much concern.
